The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

छाया दीर्घत्वमाजग्मुर्वासिष्ठं वचनक्रमम् ।
इव श्रोतुमशेषाणां वस्तूनां दीर्घकन्धराः ॥ ९ ॥

chāyā dīrghatvamājagmurvāsiṣṭhaṃ vacanakramam |
iva śrotumaśeṣāṇāṃ vastūnāṃ dīrghakandharāḥ || 9 ||

All objects on earth cast their lengthened shadows, as if they stretched their necks to hear the preaching of Vasishtha.
