The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

बभूवुरल्पसंचारा जना दशसु दिक्ष्वपि ।
सावधानतया श्रोतुमिव संत्यक्तचेष्टिताः ॥ ८ ॥

babhūvuralpasaṃcārā janā daśasu dikṣvapi |
sāvadhānatayā śrotumiva saṃtyaktaceṣṭitāḥ || 8 ||

Now failed the concourse of the people in all directions, as if they had availed themselves of the instructions of the sage to abate the fervour of their exertions.
