The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

शान्तेषु किङ्किणीजालरवेषु स्पन्दनं विना ।
पञ्जरान्तरहारीतशुकेष्वप्यस्तकेलिषु ॥ २ ॥

śānteṣu kiṅkiṇījālaraveṣu spandanaṃ vinā |
pañjarāntarahārītaśukeṣvapyastakeliṣu || 2 ||

The string of bells (tied to the waists of warriors) ceased to jingle, every one was motionless, and even the parrots in the cages ceased to warble and flutter.
