The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.2.46

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
एवमेतन्मया राम ब्रह्मैष कथितस्तव ।
विवादमकरोन्मृत्युर्यमेनैतत्कृते पुरा ॥ ४६ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
evametanmayā rāma brahmaiṣa kathitastava |
vivādamakaronmṛtyuryamenaitatkṛte purā || 46 ||

So is this Brahma, Rama! as I have spoken to you, and it was with regard to the same, that the aforesaid discussion was held of yore between Death and Yama.
