The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 3.2.8

नचाशकत्पुरो दृष्टमपि हस्तशतैर्द्विजम् ।
बलवानप्यवष्टब्धुं संकल्पपुरुषं यथा ॥ ८ ॥

nacāśakatpuro dṛṣṭamapi hastaśatairdvijam |
balavānapyavaṣṭabdhuṃ saṃkalpapuruṣaṃ yathā || 8 ||

He was unable even with his hundred hands (i. e. with all his might) to grasp the Brahman, as it is impossible for the strongest to withstand the resolute man in his wonted course.
