The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.19.23

स्वयमेव विचारस्तु स्वत उत्थं स्वकं वपुः ।
नाशयित्वा करोत्याशु प्रत्यक्षं परमं महत् ॥ २३ ॥

svayameva vicārastu svata utthaṃ svakaṃ vapuḥ |
nāśayitvā karotyāśu pratyakṣaṃ paramaṃ mahat || 23 ||

Reason says, that the self-same being destroys the body which was produced of itself, and manifests itself in its transcendental magnitude.
