The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दृष्टान्तस्यांशमात्रेण बोध्यबोधोदये सति ।
उपादेयतया ग्राह्यो महावाक्यार्थनिश्चयः ॥ ६७ ॥

dṛṣṭāntasyāṃśamātreṇa bodhyabodhodaye sati |
upādeyatayā grāhyo mahāvākyārthaniścayaḥ || 67 ||

When the knowledge of the knowable thing is derived from some particular property of the comparison, it is granted as a suitable simile, in understanding the sense of some great saying.
