The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.18.43

गच्छत्यवयवः स्पन्दं सुमनःपत्रमर्दने ।
इह धीमात्ररोधस्तु नाङ्गावयवचालनम् ॥ ४३ ॥

gacchatyavayavaḥ spandaṃ sumanaḥpatramardane |
iha dhīmātrarodhastu nāṅgāvayavacālanam || 43 ||

There is an action of the members of body, accompanied with the act of plucking or pulling off a flower; but in the other case (of Yoga), you have only to fix your mind, and make no exertion of your body.
