The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.18.33

शास्त्रं सुबोधमेवेदं सालंकारविभूषितम् ।
काव्यं रसमयं चारु दृष्टान्तैः प्रतिपादितम् ॥ ३३ ॥

śāstraṃ subodhamevedaṃ sālaṃkāravibhūṣitam |
kāvyaṃ rasamayaṃ cāru dṛṣṭāntaiḥ pratipāditam || 33 ||

This Sastra is easy to be understood, and is ornamented with figures (of speech). It is a poem full of flavours and embellished with beautiful similes.
