The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.18.26

सच्छास्त्रसाधुवृत्तानामविरोधिनि कर्मणि ।
रमते धीर्यथाप्राप्ते साध्वीवान्तःपुराजिरे ॥ २६ ॥

sacchāstrasādhuvṛttānāmavirodhini karmaṇi |
ramate dhīryathāprāpte sādhvīvāntaḥpurājire || 26 ||

The minds of the wise are as much delighted in acting conformably to the precepts of good books and the examples of the virtuous, as chaste women are fond of keeping themselves within the bounds of the inner apartments.
