The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.17.20

नौयानलोलशैलाभं सत्यलाभविवर्जितम् ।
चित्तभ्रमपिशाचाभं निर्बीजमपि भासुरम् ॥ २० ॥

nauyānalolaśailābhaṃ satyalābhavivarjitam |
cittabhramapiśācābhaṃ nirbījamapi bhāsuram || 20 ||

They resemble the moving hills on the shore to one passing in a boat, without any actual movement in them; or liken the hobgoblins appearing to an unsound mind. Such is the appearance of the world without any seed or source or origin of its own.
