The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.16.29

पौरुषेण प्रयत्नेन दन्तैर्दन्तान्विचूर्णयेत् ।
यावन्नाभिनिविष्टं ते मनो राम गुणार्जने ॥ २९ ॥

pauruṣeṇa prayatnena dantairdantānvicūrṇayet |
yāvannābhiniviṣṭaṃ te mano rāma guṇārjane || 29 ||

It must be, O Rama! that you shall have to set your heart to work by the exertion of your manliness and the gnashing of your teeth, for your success in meritorious deeds.
