The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.14.21

विविक्तं हि मनो जन्तोराशावैवश्यवर्जितम् ।
परां निर्वृतिमभ्येति पूर्णचन्द्र इवात्मनि ॥ २१ ॥

viviktaṃ hi mano jantorāśāvaivaśyavarjitam |
parāṃ nirvṛtimabhyeti pūrṇacandra ivātmani || 21 ||

The mind that is fraught with reason and devoid of the impatience attendant on worldly desires, feels the light of transcendent quietism shining in the soul with the full lustre of the moon.
