The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.14.11

या विवेकविकासिन्यो मतयो महतामिह ।
न ता विपदि मज्जन्ति तुम्बकानीव वारिणि ॥ ११ ॥

yā vivekavikāsinyo matayo mahatāmiha |
na tā vipadi majjanti tumbakānīva vāriṇi || 11 ||

The minds of great men, which are expanded by reasoning here, are never liable to be immerged under the currents of calamity (but float above them) like gourds upon water.
