The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

आपद्वनमनन्तेहापरिपल्लविताकृति ।
विचारक्रकचच्छिन्नं नैव भूयः प्ररोहति ॥ ३ ॥

āpadvanamanantehāparipallavitākṛti |
vicārakrakacacchinnaṃ naiva bhūyaḥ prarohati || 3 ||

The world is of the form of a wood of troubles, shooting in sprouts of endless desires which being once felled under the saw of reason, will germinate no more.
