The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

न पिशाचा न रक्षांसि न दैत्या न च शत्रवः ।
न च व्याघ्रभुजङ्गा वा द्विषन्ति शमशालिनम् ॥ ६६ ॥

na piśācā na rakṣāṃsi na daityā na ca śatravaḥ |
na ca vyāghrabhujaṅgā vā dviṣanti śamaśālinam || 66 ||

Neither imps nor goblins, demons or enemies, nor tigers nor snakes, ever annoy a peaceful man.
