The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अवहेलितशास्त्रार्थैरवज्ञातमहाजनैः ।
कष्टामप्यापदं प्राप्तो न मूढैः समतामियात् ॥ १२ ॥

avahelitaśāstrārthairavajñātamahājanaiḥ |
kaṣṭāmapyāpadaṃ prāpto na mūḍhaiḥ samatāmiyāt || 12 ||

The fool slighting the Sastra and its instructions, and disregarding the counsels of great men, are exposed to difficulties and dangers from which they can have no release.
