The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

महानसि विरक्तोऽसि तत्त्वज्ञोऽसि जनस्थितौ ।
त्वयि चोक्तं लगत्यन्तः कुङ्कुमाम्बु यथांशुके ॥ ५३ ॥

mahānasi virakto'si tattvajño'si janasthitau |
tvayi coktaṃ lagatyantaḥ kuṅkumāmbu yathāṃśuke || 53 ||

You are truly great and disgusted with the world, and know the truth among mankind; whatever is spoken to you must be impressed in your mind as the red dye on muslin.
