The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.11.14

द्वन्द्वानि संप्रवृत्तानि विषयार्थे महीभुजाम् ।
दण्ड्यतां संप्रयातानि भूतानि भूवि भूरिशः ॥ १४ ॥

dvandvāni saṃpravṛttāni viṣayārthe mahībhujām |
daṇḍyatāṃ saṃprayātāni bhūtāni bhūvi bhūriśaḥ || 14 ||

Every day disputes are rising among the land-owners on account of their estates and properties, and the people are subjected to various penalties in large numbers.
