The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

कालचक्रे वहत्यस्मिंस्ततो विगलिते क्रमे ।
प्रत्यहं भोजनपरे जने शाल्यर्जनोन्मुखे ॥ १३ ॥

kālacakre vahatyasmiṃstato vigalite krame |
pratyahaṃ bhojanapare jane śālyarjanonmukhe || 13 ||

But in the revolution of time, all these duties became slack in their course, and men have no other thought except that of seeking their daily maintenance.
