The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.10.29

मुहूर्तमात्रं ते पुत्र चेतो वानरचञ्चलम् ।
अज्ञानमभ्यास्रशतु शशः शशधरं यथा ॥ २९ ॥

muhūrtamātraṃ te putra ceto vānaracañcalam |
ajñānamabhyāsraśatu śaśaḥ śaśadharaṃ yathā || 29 ||

He said "I will for a moment overpower thy ficklemindedness under a mist of insensibility, as a dark cloud overshadows the disk of the moon."
