The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

भावी त्ववश्यमेवार्थः पुरुऽषार्थैकसाधनः ।
यः सोऽस्मिँल्लोकसंघाते दैवशब्देन कथ्यते ॥ ६ ॥

bhāvī tvavaśyamevārthaḥ puru'ṣārthaikasādhanaḥ |
yaḥ so'smiṃllokasaṃghāte daivaśabdena kathyate || 6 ||

Human activity which is the only cause of some unavoidable future consequence, is called as destiny by the majority of mankind.
