The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
प्राप्य व्याधिविनिर्मुक्तं देहमल्पाधिवेदनम् ।
तथात्मनि समादध्याद्यथा भूयो न जायते ॥ १ ॥

śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
prāpya vyādhivinirmuktaṃ dehamalpādhivedanam |
tathātmani samādadhyādyathā bhūyo na jāyate || 1 ||

Having obtained a body free from disease and a mind free from trouble, one should try to know the knowable to prevent his further birth.
