The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तद्युक्तमेतदेतस्मिन्नास्ति नापवदामहे ।
मूढैः प्रकल्पितं दैवं मन्यन्ते ये क्षयं गताः ॥ ३६ ॥

tadyuktametadetasminnāsti nāpavadāmahe |
mūḍhaiḥ prakalpitaṃ daivaṃ manyante ye kṣayaṃ gatāḥ || 36 ||

We blame the fate which is a creation of the fancy of the ignorant, who by their adoration of the same come to meet their destruction.
