The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.6.34

अनन्तं समतानन्दं परमार्थं विदुर्बुधाः ।
स येभ्यः प्राप्यते नित्यं ते सेव्याः शास्त्रसाधवः ॥ ३४ ॥

anantaṃ samatānandaṃ paramārthaṃ vidurbudhāḥ |
sa yebhyaḥ prāpyate nityaṃ te sevyāḥ śāstrasādhavaḥ || 34 ||

The infinite happiness or a tranquil spirit is known as the Summum bonum by the wise; and those good works are fit for study which lead to that state.
