The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.6.16

शास्त्रामात्येभपौराणामविकल्पा स्वभावधीः ।
या सा भिक्षुकराज्यस्य कर्तृ धर्तृ प्रजास्थितेः ॥ १६ ॥

śāstrāmātyebhapaurāṇāmavikalpā svabhāvadhīḥ |
yā sā bhikṣukarājyasya kartṛ dhartṛ prajāsthiteḥ || 16 ||

In the case of the (aforesaid) beggar boy's installation to the ruling and protection of the people of a realm, the unanimous concurrence of the law and ministers, of the elephant and citizens.
