The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.4.18

यत्नवद्भिर्दृढाभ्यासैः प्रज्ञोत्साहसमन्वितैः ।
मेरवोऽपि निगीर्यन्ते कैव प्राक्पौरुषे कथा ॥ १८ ॥

yatnavadbhirdṛḍhābhyāsaiḥ prajñotsāhasamanvitaiḥ |
meravo'pi nigīryante kaiva prākpauruṣe kathā || 18 ||

Know also that energy joined with constant practice, and supported by wisdom and some stimulating force, is able to break down the mount of Meru, and the demerits of acts in the former lives of men.
