यो यमर्थं प्रार्थयते तदर्थं चेहते क्रमात् ।
अवश्यं स तमाप्नोति न चेदर्धान्निवर्तते ॥ १२ ॥

yo yamarthaṃ prārthayate tadarthaṃ cehate kramāt |
avaśyaṃ sa tamāpnoti na cedardhānnivartate || 12 ||

Thus he who wishes to acquire riches, and perseveres in its acquisition, surely succeeds in gaining them; or else he stops short in the midway.
