The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 2.2.16

निषधाद्रेर्मुनीनां च सानौ सरलसंकुले ।
उपदिष्टं भगवता ज्ञानं पद्मभुवा बहु ॥ १६ ॥

niṣadhādrermunīnāṃ ca sānau saralasaṃkule |
upadiṣṭaṃ bhagavatā jñānaṃ padmabhuvā bahu || 16 ||

When our lord the lotus-born Brahma, seated on the table land of Nishadha mountain, and shaded by the Sarala trees, delivered his wise lectures to us and the sages.
