The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

व्यासादधिक एवाहं व्यासशिष्योऽसि तत्सुतः ।
भोगेच्छातानवेनेह मत्तोऽप्यत्यधिको भवान् ॥ ४० ॥

vyāsādadhika evāhaṃ vyāsaśiṣyo'si tatsutaḥ |
bhogecchātānaveneha matto'pyatyadhiko bhavān || 40 ||

"I am a pupil of Vyasa, and you are his son; but you are greater than both of us, by your abandonment of the taste for the enjoyments of life.
