The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

योऽयमञ्जनशैलाभो निविष्टो हेमविष्टरे ।
पार्श्वे तव पितुर्व्यासो भगवान्भास्करद्युतिः ॥ ७ ॥

yo'yamañjanaśailābho niviṣṭo hemaviṣṭare |
pārśve tava piturvyāso bhagavānbhāskaradyutiḥ || 7 ||

There is the great Vyasa sitting on his seat of gold by thy father's side, swarthy in his complexion like a coal-black hill, but blazing as the burning sun.
