The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

रत्नावलिरिवान्योन्यं नानावर्णकृतांगिका ।
मुक्तावलिरिवान्योन्यं कृतशोभातिशायिनी ॥ ९ ॥

ratnāvalirivānyonyaṃ nānāvarṇakṛtāṃgikā |
muktāvalirivānyonyaṃ kṛtaśobhātiśāyinī || 9 ||

They appeared as a shower of moon beams or as a halo about the full moon, or as a circle about the orb of the sun out of its season.
