The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अग्रस्थितमनुत्सृष्टरणद्वीणं मुनीश्वरम् ।
पयः पीनघनश्यामं व्यासमेव किलान्तरा ॥ ५ ॥

agrasthitamanutsṛṣṭaraṇadvīṇaṃ munīśvaram |
payaḥ pīnaghanaśyāmaṃ vyāsameva kilāntarā || 5 ||

There Narada the chief of sages, sat foremost playing on his lute, and in the midst was Vyasa, with his dark blue complexion resembling a rainy cloud.
