The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.33.1

सिद्धा ऊचुः ।
पावनस्यास्य वचसः प्रोक्तस्य रघुकेतुना ।
निर्णयं श्रोतुमुचितं वक्ष्यमाणं महर्षिभिः ॥ १ ॥

siddhā ūcuḥ |
pāvanasyāsya vacasaḥ proktasya raghuketunā |
nirṇayaṃ śrotumucitaṃ vakṣyamāṇaṃ maharṣibhiḥ || 1 ||

The siddhas said:—It behoves us to hear the decision of the great sages, in reply to the holy sermon, already delivered by the chief of Raghu's race.
