The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.28.33

घटस्य पटता दृष्टा पटस्यापि घटस्थितिः ।
न तदस्ति न यद्दृष्टं विपर्यस्यति संसृतौ ॥ ३३ ॥

ghaṭasya paṭatā dṛṣṭā paṭasyāpi ghaṭasthitiḥ |
na tadasti na yaddṛṣṭaṃ viparyasyati saṃsṛtau || 33 ||

A pot is made of clay, and cloth is made of cotton, and they are still the same dull materials of which they are composed: thus there is nothing new in this world that was not seen or known before, and that changes not its form.
