The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

वाञ्छाविषयशालिन्यः सच्चमत्कृतयः क्षताः ।
नार्यो दोषपताकिन्यो रसा नीरसतां गताः ॥ १३ ॥

vāñchāviṣayaśālinyaḥ saccamatkṛtayaḥ kṣatāḥ |
nāryo doṣapatākinyo rasā nīrasatāṃ gatāḥ || 13 ||

All our desires are directed to enjoyments; our love of truth is lost; our women are the ensigns of vice, and all that were once so sweet, have become tasteless and vapid.
