The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यमो निर्घृणराजेन्द्रो नार्तं नामानुकम्पते ।
सर्वभूतदयोदारो जनो दुर्लभतां गतः ॥ ७ ॥

yamo nirghṛṇarājendro nārtaṃ nāmānukampate |
sarvabhūtadayodāro jano durlabhatāṃ gataḥ || 7 ||

Death is called a relentless tyrant, having no pity even for the sick and weak; nor any regard for any one in any state of life.
