The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.23.41

शैलार्णद्युधराशृङ्गजगदूर्णायुसौनिकः ।
प्रत्यहं पिबते प्रेक्ष्य तारारक्तकणानपि ॥ ४१ ॥

śailārṇadyudharāśṛṅgajagadūrṇāyusaunikaḥ |
pratyahaṃ pibate prekṣya tārāraktakaṇānapi || 41 ||

Time (as a vulture) looks upon the world as (the carcase of) a ram, with its mountains, seas, sky and earth as its four horns, and the stars as its drops of blood which it drinks day by day.
