The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अनन्तापारपर्यन्तबद्धपीठं निजं वपुः ।
महाशैलवदुत्तुङ्गमवलम्ब्य व्यवस्थितः ॥ २९ ॥

anantāpāraparyantabaddhapīṭhaṃ nijaṃ vapuḥ |
mahāśailavaduttuṅgamavalambya vyavasthitaḥ || 29 ||

As the high and huge rock supports its body upon the basis of the earth, so does time rest itself in endless and interminable eternity.
