The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जराकुसुमितं देहद्रुमं दृष्ट्वैव दूरतः ।
अध्यापतति वेगेन मुने मरणमर्कटः ॥ १६ ॥

jarākusumitaṃ dehadrumaṃ dṛṣṭvaiva dūrataḥ |
adhyāpatati vegena mune maraṇamarkaṭaḥ || 16 ||

Death overtakes a man in his hoary old age, just as an ape alights on a tree covered with pearly flowers.
