The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चिन्तानां लोलवृत्तीनां ललनानामिवाऽवृतीः ।
अर्पयत्यवशं चेतो बालानामञ्जनं यथा ॥ ४ ॥

cintānāṃ lolavṛttīnāṃ lalanānāmivā'vṛtīḥ |
arpayatyavaśaṃ ceto bālānāmañjanaṃ yathā || 4 ||

His ungoverned mind gives rise to loose thoughts like those of voluptuous women, and these serve to beguile him like the magic collyrium (in the hand) of boys.
