The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

उड्डीतुमभिवाञ्छन्ति पक्षाभ्यां क्षुत्परायणाः ।
भयाहारपरा नित्यं बाला विहगधर्मिणः ॥ २९ ॥

uḍḍītumabhivāñchanti pakṣābhyāṃ kṣutparāyaṇāḥ |
bhayāhāraparā nityaṃ bālā vihagadharmiṇaḥ || 29 ||

Boys are of the nature of birds, being both subject to fear and hunger, and ready to fly about when impelled by them.
