The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यत्र दोलाकृति मनः परिस्फुरति वृत्तिषु ।
त्रैलोक्याऽभव्यमपि तत्कथं भवति तुष्टये ॥ १२ ॥

yatra dolākṛti manaḥ parisphurati vṛttiṣu |
trailokyā'bhavyamapi tatkathaṃ bhavati tuṣṭaye || 12 ||

How can boyhood appear pleasing to any one, when the mind swings like a cradle towards every object of desire, however wrong it is deemed to be in both worlds.
