The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.18.59

कायोऽयमचिरापायो बुद्बुदोऽम्बुनिधाविव ।
व्यर्थं कार्यपरावर्ते परिस्फुरति निष्फलः ॥ ५९ ॥

kāyo'yamacirāpāyo budbudo'mbunidhāviva |
vyarthaṃ kāryaparāvarte parisphurati niṣphalaḥ || 59 ||

They are as quickly dissolved as bubbles in the ocean; it is in vain therefore that it should hurl about in the whirlpool of business.
