The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

इदं कृत्वेदमायाति सर्वमेवासमञ्जसम् ।
अनारतं च यतते तृष्णा चेष्टेव दैविकी ॥ ३० ॥

idaṃ kṛtvedamāyāti sarvamevāsamañjasam |
anārataṃ ca yatate tṛṣṇā ceṣṭeva daivikī || 30 ||

The acts of avarice are as inconstant as those of chance, both of which are ever on the alert, but never attended with their sequence.
