The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.14.7

तरङ्गं प्रतिबिम्बेन्दुं तडित्पुञ्जं नभोम्बुजम् ।
ग्रहीतुमास्थां बध्नामि न त्वायुषि हतस्थितौ ॥ ७ ॥

taraṅgaṃ pratibimbenduṃ taḍitpuñjaṃ nabhombujam |
grahītumāsthāṃ badhnāmi na tvāyuṣi hatasthitau || 7 ||

Rather attempt to lay hold on the shadow of the moon in the waves, the fleeting lightenings in the sky, and the ideal lotus blossoms in the ether, than ever place any reliance upon this unsteady life.
