The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.13.1

त्रयोदशः सर्गः श्रीराम उवाच ।
इयमस्मिन्स्थितोदारा संसारे परिकल्पिता ।
श्रीर्मुने परिमोहाय सापि नूनं कदर्थदा ॥ १ ॥

trayodaśaḥ sargaḥ śrīrāma uvāca |
iyamasminsthitodārā saṃsāre parikalpitā |
śrīrmune parimohāya sāpi nūnaṃ kadarthadā || 1 ||

Rama said:—It is opulence, Oh sage! that is reckoned a blessing here; it is even she that is the cause of our troubles and errors.
