The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

राजानमथवा विप्रमुपदेष्टारमग्रतः ।
हसत्यज्ञमिवाव्यग्रः सोऽवधीरयति प्रभो ॥ ४२ ॥

rājānamathavā vipramupadeṣṭāramagrataḥ |
hasatyajñamivāvyagraḥ so'vadhīrayati prabho || 42 ||

He laughs to scorn the counsels of the princes and Brahmans before him, and spurns them as if they were fools.
