The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.8.26

सर्वं मे शंस भगवन्यथा तेषां महारणे ।
स्थातव्यं दुष्टभाग्यानां वीर्योत्सिक्ता हि राक्षसाः ॥ २६ ॥

sarvaṃ me śaṃsa bhagavanyathā teṣāṃ mahāraṇe |
sthātavyaṃ duṣṭabhāgyānāṃ vīryotsiktā hi rākṣasāḥ || 26 ||

Tell me all these, Oh great sage! that I can calculate the possibility of our making a stand against the fiercely disposed Rakshasas in the open field, when they are certainly so very powerful.
