The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 1.8.20

प्रधानभूतस्तेष्वेव रामः कमललोचनः ।
तं विनेह त्रयोऽप्यन्ये धारयन्ति न जीवितम् ॥ २० ॥

pradhānabhūtasteṣveva rāmaḥ kamalalocanaḥ |
taṃ vineha trayo'pyanye dhārayanti na jīvitam || 20 ||

The lotus-eyed Rama is the eldest of these without whom the three others can hardly bear to live.
